Veet Infini’Silk Pro Review

So my Veet Infini’Silk has finally said goodbye (the original Veet that I bought, read on to find out more if you are already confused. Hint: Veet has two IPL machines). It was great that my first Veet Infini’Silk Light-Based Ipl Hair Removal System (read our original review here) served me and my two sisters before the pulses run out. We all had a great experience using it and we definitely love the changes to hair growth it has done for our bodies. But the treatments were not enough…..

WARNING: Do not use this machine on very dark brown or black skin, use this machine. Do you have blonde, red, grey or white hair? You need to use this machine.

We did see significant results in reduced hair growth with what we call the ‘budget Veet machine‘, but there are still few hairs remaining. As a result, we planned to buy another home hair removal machine or device but considered the fact that it shouldn’t be disposable (hence, although the #1 on the market, we didn’t go for the Tria 4X Laser).

We wanted something that we can use over a long period of time for all of us, since three of us are using it. (Not to mention, the men in the house are also interested in using it too).

I told my sisters we had to stick with Veet products, we are essentially Veet lovers (we started using Veet wax many years ago, when we are younger and now have carried it through with the Veet permanent hair removal machines now, how times flies!). For me, I love everything about the Veet IPL machines.

The Veet Infini’Silk – The Latest and Greatest IPL Machine

Because we have already tried it already and can attest with its effectiveness with the Veet Infini’Silk, we know what we get, so why look for other brand? The only mistake we did, we should have bought this machine from the very start!

Veet InfiniSilk Pro Intensed Pulsed LightPros: More effective (2x as fast as the original Veet Infini’Silk), easy to use handheld design, Unlimited flashes

Cons: With the results itself, nothing. The only con that we can think of is that it’s not suitable to use for dark skin or on red, blonde, grey or white hair (Read Katie’s story)

It was actually the model I didn’t consider at first due to its higher price. But now, I realized it would be better if we bought this Veet Infini’Silk Pro (available here for purchase) from the start. If only I knew that my sisters will also be interested, I could have chosen this since it’s not disposable (i.e you can keep buying catridges and keep using the machine as opposed to the flashes running out and the ipl machine becoming useless).

Anyway, cutting the long story short, we finally ordered the Veet Infini’Silk Pro (we bought it online here) and excitedly opened it when it came (if you are confused already, Veet have manufactured two IPL machines, check out the differences between the Veet Infini’Silk and Veet Infini’Silk Pro)

Literally, this product has a team effort, Veet a reliable brand in hair removal already, backed up with Silk’n IPL technology and you have a blast of a permanent hair removal device – The Veet Infini’Silk Pro (featured in the pic above).

This product is only new but it is one of the best selling permanent hair removal machines on the market (and it sells out each week). It is literally selling like hot cakes and may be unexpected for the brand itself, it has been out of stock numerous times since it has been released.

What We love About Veet Infini’Silk Pro

The Pro has these features that really made me love it. I’ve explained more about these features below:

  • It now has a handle meant for easy grip (a design that is completely different to the first Veet Infini’Silk and my sisters and I agree we like this design better).
  • The Veet Infini’Silk Pro is super easy to use.
  • It is NOT disposable – cartridge can be replaced.
  • The package contains three different plugs/ adapters so pretty much anyone, anywhere in the world can use it.
  • This is absolutely safe for home use since it is FDA approved.
  • One of the cheapest when it comes to IPL hair removal.
  • Results are better – cutting the treatments to about 50% (compared to the Infini’Silk).

I loved the Veet Infini’Silk, but I love the Pro more. The Pro is actually an upgraded model of the standard one Veet Infini’Silk (I know it can be confusing but there is actually two products) – not only on its outer features but on the results as well. It was really surprising that the outcome is even better, cutting the treatment to about 50% of the standard one.

Pro Features

Veet Infini’Silk Pro uses intense pulsed light technology to permanently remove hair from the different parts of the body including arms, underarms, bikini line, legs, back and chest (it is not safe to use it on your face, read more about how to remove facial hair here).

It can be used by both men and women but has some limitations with regards to skin tone and hair color (see below). Well, this is really not a big deal at all since almost all IPL treatments, including those in salons and clinics, require certain skin and hair color combination to work effectively.

It’s good that my sisters and I have light skin and dark brown to brown hair color. The device works at best with this skin type, having high contrast between skin tone and hair color. We consider this device as the best hair removal machine for both ladies and men.

Replaceable Cartridge

This product is not disposable. Once the cartridge runs out of light pulses, an indicator light signal will start to blink. The light will eventually stop blinking and stay on when you need to replace the lamp cartridge. That is how easy it is to operate this product.

The cartridge is available for purchase here.

Safety Features

The Infini’Silk Pro has skin color sensor which ensures that the device can be used onto suitable skin tones only. It also has a built-in skin contact sensor which allows light to be emitted only onto the skin. Its five light energy levels will enable users to choose which specific power options will comfortably suit their pain tolerance.

Using the Veet Infini’Silk Pro

Veet InfiniSilk Pro IPLIt’s a bit easier to hold this permanent hair removal device due to the presence of a handle. With regards to the procedure, same steps must be done in using it, just like what my sisters and I did with the standard machine.

1. First thing that you have to do is to shave, of course. Since we had several treatments before, shaving is really quick now. You can barely see hair on our body. If ever there is, it’s just a little portion and almost unnoticeable.

2. Next is to plug the device and press the “ON/STBY” button.

3. Once it is placed in your skin, there must be a light that will flash which simply indicates the device is safe to use.

For your first time: It is highly recommended to test what particular power level can your skin handle by doing a test patch. This means, do the procedure above on a small area of the body to see how your skin reacts. First do it on level 1 and proceed up to see how your skin reacts to the machine.  You can increase as you feel comfortable.

That’s how easy it is! You just need to be cautious in using it because it must not hit the same portion more than twice in a session.

Treatment Plan

The hair removal device is not intended for everyday use. Usually, the first four treatments are two weeks apart. The next five to seven treatment is done with four weeks interval. The next treatments must be done as needed, usually four week apart, until you achieve your desired outcome (we use our treatments as a bonding session with my sisters and I but I’ve heard other people gather their friends and do it together..).

WARNING: Do not use this machine on brown or black skin, use this machine instead. Do you have blonde, red, grey and white hair? You need to use this machine.

Does It Hurt?

Absolutely, NO. I have high tolerance with regards to pain but my sisters do not. At level 5, we can all handle the heat it produces. There may be some feeling of discomfort at first use, but when you get used to it, after using it several times, you will not mind it anymore (you can also apply numbing and calming creams if you feel any sensitivity).

My Verdict

Our search for reusable hair removal equipment at home had ended when we come across the Veet Infini’Silk Pro. It has helped me and my sisters get rid of our unwanted hair permanently all over our body.

Overall, I would grade this product: Excellent and 10/10.

We got what we paid for (get the latest price here)

The promise of permanent hair removal is really achievable after several sessions/treatments depending on your skin type and the body part the product is used.

I am personally recommending this product to my family and friends (and of course, all my followers here at LaserHairSite). I personally consider, based on my experience and my sister’s, that the Veet Infini’Silk Pro as the best hair removal machine for home use.

Hi Jessica, Maggy here. I am not sure if you read through my whole review but I mentioned the differences between the two Veet machines in there 🙂 For you to remember – the cheaper Veet is a one time use machine, meaning, you cannot buy more cartridges so it has a limited lifetime, once you run out of cartridges, the machine is no longer useful. The Veet Infini’Silk Pro is the more expensive one and you can use if forever, you just keep buying the replacement cartridges. My sisters originally started with the cheap one and after not so long, we bought the Infini’Silk Pro and wished we bought the Pro from the beginning, we would have saved more instead of just opting for the cheaper option at the time.

You mentioned this is not appropriate for use on the face, but what about the OTHER sensitive areas… like inside the bikini line and such?

  2. Tully

I bought this product after I read about you girls about 2 months ago now. All I can say, this product is really AMAZING! I didn’t see massive results after my first or second treatments so I felt a little bummed BUT after my third, my hair just disappeared, it’s like it just clicked and they started falling out. So happy, thanks for all your great work and time you put into this!

    • Maggy

      Hi Tully
So glad you are happy, I mean, who isn’t?!? We are even more happy that you have come back to leave us a comment! Would love to hear how you continue in the next few months also..

I just ordered one, I’m Lebanese, I’m not as dark as what’s listed as the do not use area but I am as dark as the last one on the safe to use, now with that said I know i’m not dark ‘indian’ ‘paki’ color, Is it fine to use for me or risky?

    • Maggy

      Hi Eli
I think you should be fine if you are what you said you are 🙂
Just do a test patch before commencing just to be on the safe side.

Hey I’m maggio I bought the machine one week ago and I was wondering how long to I have to wait to proceed with the next treatment and in the main time what should I do when the hair grows back after a week that I have used the machine

    • Maggy

Hi Maggio. Treatments should be performed every 2 weeks. If you aren’t see good results after the first 1-2 months, try doing them once a week. To get the best results, only shave inbetween treatments. I believe – the more shaving the better.

I am a little confused with regards to the cost factor. Pro $160 (5000 flashes) + $42/ cartridge. To produce the same number of flashes of the standard model (50 000 flashes), the cost is $160 + $42*9= $538. The standard model cost only $100. It will be long before the Pro model becomes cost effective? May I know how quickly did it run out of flashes?

    • Maggy

Tina, just remember that you have no other choice with the standard model and these 2 models are the versions 1.0, i.e the first ever ipl machines from Veet. They will surely improve on their cartridge life and effectiveness which means that you can potentially purchase cartridges in the future with better pulse/life for cheaper and that last longer. This is exactely what’s happened with other companies so I am sure this will happen with Veet in due course. With the standard model you have no choice, once it runs out you have to purchase a whole new machine. I can’t quite remember exactely how long it lasted but I was sharing it with my sisters and we were doing our entire body.

    Hi.

I have one question please. Where I can buy a replacement cartridge as the website is American and I live in uk so I would like to buy it in here not wait 2-3weeks and receive it broken or not good size and send it back or something. Can you advise me please?

    • Maggy

Sorry about that, I’d recommend buying from the US site, they have stock issues in the UK, you can try here but I recommend getting it from here instead. No you won’t receive it broken, they send these to everyone for the specific machine so there is no issues. It’s probably cheaper anyway.

  7. Dikla

    Hi Maggi
    great review!
    my question is this:
you mentioned that before the treatment with the machine you should shave your legs, im avoiding shaving my lags because it makes me very itchy, instead i’m using veet spray on hair removal cream (yes i’m a big fan of veet myself !).
can i keep doing it before the treatment or does shaving is a must?
    thanks

    • Maggy

      Hi Dikla
Thank you 🙂 No unfortunately please do NOT use hair removal creams. You must only SHAVE otherwise the machines won’t work at all!!
