Veet Infini’Silk vs Veet Infini’Silk Pro Comparison
Everyone’s aware that Veet is the best company with regards to depilatory products, but what we didn’t know up until now is that behind the scenes they have also been working on manufacturing cute and very effective machines for permanent hair removal.
or…if you are confused because has two IPL machines, read below for a comparison of the two so you can gain a great understanding of which one is suitable for you!
An Introduction: It’s All About Veet
Veet has produced several gadgets and devices that have made, not only women, but also men all around the world satisfied and happy in using them. The company has provided products that are suitable for almost every skin type and color all around the globe. Making their products more specific with vast choices, depending on the needs of the users.
I can say that Veet has done very well in their merchandise field and with regards to being one of the newest manufactures to introduce a range of hair removal devices, they are actually doing quite well.
The Veet Infini’Silk Pro being one of the hottest selling hair removal machines in 2016 so far…
We Have Used Both Veet IPL Machines
My sisters and I can attest to the success of Veet’s new IPL machines that were released to the market last year since we have all avid fans of almost all Veet products for years and due to this, we bought the both Veet machines after the first Veet Infini’Silk ran out of pulses we subsequently purchased the upgraded version, the Veet Infini’Silk Pro.
This new major innovation by Veet that uses intense pulsed light for permanent hair removal involves the collaboration with another hair removal front-runner, the Silk’n. With their joint venture, another revolutionary product was introduced in the market and now became one of the most effective machines to get rid of hair permanently (with the likes of Tria 4X and Remington Quartz also) (I personally haven’t used these machines but you can read Penelope’s and Paris’s experience using these machines using the links I pasted in above).
Obviously, I was very enthusiastic to try them out. And if you have read about the machines themselves, you will know that I even got my two sisters to join me in my journey to a hair-free body.
Infini’Silk and Infini’Silk PRO: Their Similarities
These machines are actually ranked by users as one of the best laser hair removal for fair skin and brown hair, so it was perfect for me and my sisters.
As I briefly mentioned above, both machines use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, a very common system in several IPL hair removal clinics. The mechanism of these devices is good for people with dark hair color and light skin (if this doesn’t suit you, try this machine instead).
WARNING: If you have dark skin or don’t have brown colored hair, these machines will not work for you. Read more about laser hair removal for dark skin or read about this machine that will work for anyone with dark skin or red, blonde, grey or white hair color.
If you are unsure how IPL works, these Veet Infini’Silk hair removal machine actually target the root of the hair and prevent it from growing back. Since they are FDA approved, you don’t need to worry about their safeness. As a matter of fact, both machines have safety sensors – one for skin color detection and another one for skin contact. If the device is not suitable for you (if you have dark skin) or if it hasn’t in contact with your skin yet, you will know through the safety sensors.
Mutually, these devices are electrically-powered, not rechargeable nor battery operated, making them easy and simple to use. You just have to plug them and they are ready. Both of them have also around 3-5 J/cm2 power, depending on the level. Well, we all have different pain tolerance, so you can choose between the levels. The treatment plan is also the same for both, having specific time intervals before every use.
The best thing about Veet hair removal systems is the positive reviews. I have used it, my sisters have and for many users of Veet products, it was their first choice in hair removal. Obviously, positive reviews simply means the devices are really working, and I can attest to this first hand.
Size Difference Between The Two
However, even if the Veet Infini’Silk Pro is bigger, it has a handle for easy to control and often more comfortable to control.
It also has a trigger and more functional buttons. The window size on the other hand shows 25% difference. The Veet Infini’Silk Pro has a bigger window, with a total area of 3.9 cm2, while the standard Veet one has only 2.7 cm2.
Considering these features, we can clearly see that Veet Infini’Silk Pro can cover larger area in a single pulse, better for larger body areas such as the legs, chest and back.
The Infini’Silk Pro by Veet can be used in all parts of the body except for the face. The handle makes it easier to use, even though it is bigger and bulky. Since it has a larger window size, every session with it takes lesser time than it would with the Veet Infini’Silk.
Conversely, Infini’Silk can be best used on smaller body parts like underarm, bikini line and lower legs. However, for larger areas, more effort and time must be exerted due to its smaller window size.
WARNING: Did you read the above properly? It is not safe to use these devices for facial hair removal. If you want a device that is safe to use on your face, read here.
Type of Lamp
The lamp/cartridge is the the biggest difference between the two Veet Infini Silk devices.
The Infini’Silk has quartz light lamp that can be used for 50, 000 light pulses ONLY (meaning that it is limited). Once these 50, 000 is gone, you cannot use the device anymore. In short, it is disposable so it’s only handy for those people that want it for touch up sessions, for small areas of the body and where money is a bit tight and you want a really affordable machine.
On the other hand, Veet Infini’Silk Pro is operated by a replaceable cartridge which contains 5,000 light pulses. This makes it more practical to buy since the cartridge can be replaced.
In contrast, pulsing is manually pressing the button or trigger to accurately treat each part of your body. The Infini’Silk Pro can be operated by pulsing only.
My Choice: Which Veet Infini’Silk IPL machine is better?
I have tried both of the products and provided an in-depth user experience on laserhairsite.com. Both of them are truly effective. They both gave me and my sisters very satisfying results. However, the Veet Infini’Silk Pro is the winner, cutting the treatment up to 50%, it can save lots of time and effort when used, the fact that you can replace the cartridge is also a big factor.
For people who have coarse hair, it is economically wise to choose this reusable product. As you can read in our review, we initially started with the Veet Infini’Silk not long before we needed to upgrade to the Infini’Silk Pro due to the cartridges running out. If I had my time again, I would have bought the Veet Infini Silk Pro from the beginning.
